"The Inter Killed The MLM Business Model"
I know this may sound like a bald statement, and honestly, I don't think that the internet actually "killed" the multi-level marketing business model, but it certainly redefined it in many ways. Let's go into depths with that, and try to learn what did changed in the MLM business model and/or what needs to change, since online advertising and marketing has been integrated into many network marketers' business plan.

If you're a network marketer, and you just got started, or you already have a solid customers base and downline, do you think the internet could actually help you build your business or would the internet make it more difficult for you?

There are many ways to see this, and for my part i believe that the internet somewhat killed the MLM business model as we know it, and if the intern ... Read more »

What does every business owner want? To be noticed, to stand out amongst their peers and competitors, to be more visible.

Here is a number of tips pointing business owners/marketeers in the right direction.

1) Be different, a perfect example of poor marketing is the common trifold. An over-used piece of Graphic Design and Printing. Perfectly formulated to be a mail-out, the flyer / brochure in the letter-fold or trifold format has been used by every business / service provider / retailer or restaurant you can imagine. When going to press on a project, understand that within reason your piece of printed paraphernalia can be any shape you like. Stand out.

2) Get to the point. Too many business owners dilly-dally when talking about their product or service. Remember, if your potential client is interested or needs your service half the battle is ... Read more »

Pay-per-click is a fantastic way to drive web traffic to your site from the major search engines. It can also suck your marketing budget dry in just a couple of days if not done properly. The bottom line is someone is going to profit by implementing paid search. The question is, is it going to be you or the search engines? The goal of the search engines (and their strategies) is more clicks. The more people click on your ads the more money the search engines make. Their strategy is to get as many clicks as possible with in your budget and they are willing to do that all day long. This is great for them bad for you.

The real goal should be more conversion with less clicks and lower cost. Let's take a few minutes to look at some strategies that should make a difference in your campaigns. We will get more specific and articles to come.

So... you're a new marketer, and you want to make extra money or even perhaps a great living! One of the first things you do is join an affiliate program or downline club of some sort. Or maybe even you are trying your hand at Ebay or another auction service by marketing some nicely profitable product. Now, once you have some sort of online business vehicle, your mind must gravitate to exactly what kind of advertising to generate sales or memberships.

Online business is an awful lot like regular advertising. What draws you to a business in your home town? Coupons? Specials? Give-aways? A personal recommendation from a friend or trusted associate?

Oh yes - and here is a little secret that is often not known or ignored:

When it comes to building any kind of business online you do the same thing! Give away a free report, an informative ebook, a ... Read more »

Unfortunately not all of us have a budget to fit what we believe to be our marketing needs. No need to get down, here are a few very simple things you can do that have stood the test of time, and are proven to attract more business.

For starters, smile often if not always. I'm sure you are familiar with the phrase "smile it's contagious." Well it is.

Think about it, would you want to speak with, or do business with someone who frowned all the time. It just is not attractive and it turns people in the other direction.

Smiling says a lot about your personality and attracts people to you. It tells a potential customer that you are friendly, upbeat, and most of all it tells them that you enjoy what you do.

When someone approaches you about your products and services, you want to make it as easy as possible for ... Read more »

Why would you use an email or online survey when you could simply call your clients and customers and ask for their input?

Lots of reasons.

standardization
easy to get large numbers of responses
easy to tabulate, analyze
easy (and often fun) for your clients and customers
inexpensive
non-intrusive
time-efficient (for you, and for your clients and customers)
protect your customers' anonymity (if important)
professional
no "cold calls"

Want to be a mega-earner in network marketing? You'll need these three qualities: Leadership, Innovation, and Commitment.

Network Marketing rewards its leaders handsomely. The leaders are the ones who are willing to hold conference calls, offer their homes for meetings, or become corporate trainers. Leaders help and teach others how to be successful (regardless if they are downline, crossline, or in another opportunity).

Leaders will always have a home in this industry, because every single company CEO, and every top producer, wants a leader in their organization.

Network Marketing rewards innovators handsomely. I remember when Dale Maloney (a leader in this industry for over 20 years) scared up a few dollars to buy a mailing list, some stamps, envelopes, and paper to send out some sales letters to recruit others into his opportunity. I was i ... Read more »

If you already have a retail store, you have many opportunities to connect with existing and potential customers and acquire their information for marketing. When you expand this storefront to the Internet, your opportunities mount even further. Gathering customer information allows you to continually reach your customers and prospects, either through online or offline marketing campaigns.

Depending on your business, you may want to send regular newsletters, monthly email specials, calendar events, postcards, or catalogs to current and potential customers. The more information you collect about each patron, the greater impact your marketing efforts can make, the stronger understanding you'll have about your customers, and the better you'll be able to serve them.

Before you begin building a database of existing and potential customers, make sure that you understand the basics beh ... Read more »

A few years ago, pop-up windows were all the rage in Internet marketing. It seemed that every time one opened a web page they would be bombarded with offers for this or that. It had gotten to the point where surfing the Internet was almost like playing a video game; when the ads would pop-up one would try and close them out before another one came. This is precisely why we have seen the decline in the use of pop-up windows on the Internet today; surfers simply do not even look at the pop-ups anymore. They close the windows out before even reading the ad.

Very often, a surfer will even leave your site if there are too many pop-up ads. They simply do not want the hassle of closing those windows while trying to obtain the information that your site has to offer. This information, while valuable, is not as valuable as the surfers time. Studies have shown however, that even with these set backs, pop-up windows are still ... Read more »

Introduction
Online product launches have lots of moving parts. Many different departments have a hand in getting to the finish line with a winning product. If you are managing this type of launch, there are a variety of ways to plan strategy and set goals. One way is to target your four main audience types. Using this method, you won't risk missing the big target-making it easy for your customers to buy your products.

Making your plan "customer-centric" allows you to focus on what matters and makes it easier to revise as you progress. You can determine which groups need more attention and which groups are performing well.

Audience Type One -"Self-directed"
This is the easiest type to satisfy. This person is an "early adopter" or someone with a defined need. For example, they have deter ... Read more »
